1 Kiks came back from Japan Sunday last week! One of his many things he got for me was an Instax Mini 7S! Our first Instax photo called for stamps on Line Cam.
2 Monday last week was our first day of teaching summer class in Ateneo! My class was assigned to 305 in Gonzaga, and this certain table was still alive with all the doodles! Hello to all my Ateneo ID friends!
3 Tender Blender had a meeting at Rockwell, and we bumped into Tricia! She hung out with us until RG arrived, right before our meeting started. :D
4 New case from Tricia!! It’s just like the dark gray one she gave me, except it’s a nice red!! Thank you, trin! <3
5 Nail date with Tricia after our work date earlier that day!
6 We were joined by Kiks & Kim later on for dinner at La Creperie! French toast with Nutella & strawberries? WHY YES
7 I finally bought the top from Arcobaleno in Greenhills!! YAY
8 Candy from Kiks from Japan! SO YUMMY AND SWEET
9 On the road with Kiks last Saturday, we saw this guy on the highway! Motorized scooter? On the Katipunan flyover?? HARDCORE!

A picture from earlier today, when I was working by myself over at the Starbucks at The Block. I was supposed to make a blog entry then, but the Wi-Fi wasn’t as reliable as I had thought it was, at least for Tumblr. Anywho.
I spent a small portion of my afternoon working on some light stuff over coffee, after buying new contact lenses! Yay! Relived my Phantom of the Opera phase and worked to its soundtrack. I fought very hard not to sing at the top of my lungs and jump up on the tables pretending to be the Phantom. Complete with my Promod drape jacket thing that could pass off as my cape LOL
I think I may have found a potential project this evening, too! It’s not so much photography, but I could definitely squeeze it in there, since it’ll be a blog project. I’m excited because it involves fooooood, and it’ll be less pressure on my part to post regularly, because I plan not to really have a schedule for it. It was actually a project that started a couple of nights ago, haha, but I’ll still see if it goes on and becomes worthy enough to actually be called a project.
Unrelated, I’m a little afraid of the coming months. I can already see so many things going on, one of which will largely tug (though honestly, it’s more like yank) at my emotions, so I apologize in advance should it ever spill over onto this little blog space.

So I was working on stuff at Starbucks earlier today like all the cool kids do, editing pictures of a previous event photography job, when I got to this photo. When I finished working my Photoshop magic on it (a.k.a. actions to speed up my post-processing), I stopped, stared a little bit at the photo, and thought to myself…

“Well crap, this is probably one of the best photos I took that day. Or at least to me, it is.”

You could say that I kind of realized that I’m definitely on the right track with this Tender Blender thing. Food is definitely my thing, at least now, compared to other subjects. While I do love taking photos in general, I just feel like food is the way to go for me. Though that doesn’t mean I would say no to freelance photography work for things other than the saliva-inducing goodness that is food(porn).
I guess I just haven’t been feeling it lately with other things lately. I have a feeling that I just need to shoot for myself again to get back on track. All I’ve been doing lately is shooting for clients, and I’m beginning to resent having to edit a hundred pictures at a time, when in the past I used to find it therapeutic, even thrilling, to a certain degree. I can’t even bring myself to edit my US photos from months ago, what with all this stress on my shoulders.
I can’t wait for my Bali trip this May — I plan on not thinking about work for the entire duration of my well-deserved vacation, and just take pictures.
I seriously need more personal photography projects. Someone please collaborate with me! I’d be much more motivated and would be more likely to actually do it if I work with someone.

1 Sunday morning-to-afternoon shoot! It basically killed my legs, especially after the MCS concert the night before. But it’s all good, as I loved both the concert and shooting.
2 THIS CUTE TOP! I went back to that stall that I liked in Greenhills, and it was still there! I can’t figure out for the life of me why I didn’t buy it. I swear that if it’s still there the next time I go back, I’m taking it off the racks and paying for it, no questions asked.
3 Kiks & I hung out one evening with Lester (who was back from NY for vacation), Shai, and sir Ali at Momo in Eastwood! We tried this wicked oreos-like dessert. Pretty good, but I still like wicked oreos from Flaming Wings better. :)
4 We had another meeting with BONO! The owner, Rea, bubbly and friendly as she is, let us try her ~secret~ flavors that are yet to be released! April is the month to go visit Bono Artisanal Gelato at SM Makati! Because the summer heat will kill you, and authentic Italian gelato is the way to survive.
5 Tricia & I got our nails done! Can’t get over how they do the stamping! I got an argyle stamp design, because…I like socks.
6 Kiks & his shadow mustache that Tricia couldn’t stop laughing about. :))
7 Did my own hair and makeup(!) for the wedding we attended yesterday! A photo was in order, as this happens very rarely.
8 Picturesque wedding! I loved the chairs, and the lanterns – perfect for the garden setup. :)
9 Trekked unexplored parts of Eastwood and found BAUMKUCHEN! Discovered what it was through Cooking Mama, of all things. Haha! I finally got to taste what I had made with Mama, LOL. It’s good! Basically sweet sponge cake. What makes it different that it’s a layer cake, with the layers being…concentric. WHAT! It’s a little hard to explain. Think of a cake rotisserie. LOL

Woot! It’s summer again, and we’re looking for interns! Apply now! :)

We’re pretty busy, so we promise you won’t be doing any coffee-making or doughnut-buying!
Also, we concentrated more on design interns last year. This year, though, we’d like to see if we can get interns who can do food photography as well as design, or at least an intern who’d be willing to learn food photography!

Instagram diary #14! Quite enjoying looking back on a week’s worth of Instagram photos. Maybe in the future I can put more than just 9 pictures. :) Anywho, last week!
1 First self-portraits of the year! Posted them here in my blog along with short-ish text on why I take self-portraits.
2 After so long!! Had dinner out with my lovely friends. Kiks and I met the Kim, Tep, and Tricia at the nail place when we got to Eastwood before heading out to dinner.
3 Got on a Disney high after talking about stuff and watching Sleeping Beauty with Kiks, that I decided it was time to Disney-fy myself! I also did one of him that you can see here. :)
4 Kiks discovered our new favorite gum sometime ago — Lotte strawberry chewing gum! So delicious, and cheap, too!
5 I always have my little Canon IXUS in my bag, and it comes in handy when I want to take pictures of Kiks & I that aren’t so noisy due to small MP count on the iPhone’s front cam. LOL
6 I start teaching at SHIFT again this April, but this time I’m teaching basic coding! Started on my lesson plan, just to prove to myself that I am responsible and don’t leave things like these until the last minute. Also because I had free time to do it, and had wanted to put things down from my head onto digital paper.
7 Starbucks breakfast at 7 AM with Kiks on a rainy Friday morning before a client meeting at 8.
8 Pretending I have nice things like a Canon EOS 5D Mark III, but I really don’t. </3
9 On the plus side, CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN! WITH STRAWBERRIES TO DIP IN IT! During some relatives’ birthdays. DAY MADE! I can blissfully forget about my lack of a nice full-frame camera.

An outtake from yesterday’s shoot.
With regards to my previous post, I’m completely fine in pictures with face obstructions. But I honestly feel like they’re too mleh to use a proper profile pictures in social networking sites (it’s actually a pet peeve (the camera-in-front-of-face-profile-pic) that I developed sometime in my college years).
Anyway, pictures hopefully soon! My backlog seems to have no plans of getting any easier to handle.
