Currently trying out a new vectoring style. Been drawn back to Illustrator lately. I’m looking at this as a good thing!

I decided to revisit the Tender Blender brand book I thought to make two years ago (which I haven’t finished due to work!), and I enjoyed reading what I had written so far! I have admit that I used to write better in college. My writing skills have been deteriorating little by little after graduating, so that kind of sucks. Hopefully I get some practice again and inspire myself with how I used to write to get back on track.
Anyway, I was thinking of rehashing what I’ve done so far with the brand book, but I thought twice about it. The look I gave it is pretty decent, with a somewhat “timeless” design, or whatever you call it. It looked good then, and it still does now. So I’m sticking with it, and will just add to it. :D
I remember starting this because I had always wanted to design my own book. Since I didn’t really have much content to go on in terms of my personal life, I decided to make a book dedicated to Tender Blender. I’ve done a good job so far, if I do say so myself. (:
On a lighter note, I watched Up this afternoon before heading out to watch Dark Shadows (Tim Burton! Johnny Depp! Michelle Pfeiffer! Helena Bonham Carter!) with some friends. I suddenly felt inspired by the scene where the house was floating above the clouds in the clear blue sky, and decided I wanted to make a vector illustration of my own.
There was so much detail on the house that I couldn’t finish it! Now that I’m looking at my work in progress, I’m thinking of redoing the house in a more stylized manner like the balloons. I’ll have to continue maybe over the weekend or next week, since I have work to do!
Can’t wait to finish this. (:
Drawing WIP! I decided to turn it into a Batgirl thing.
Been attempting to draw again, haven’t drawn in a while.
Here’s a peek at what I’m working on at the moment. I think I fell in love with the color palette I came up with for this piece.
And can I just say. That cage was damn hard took a while to finish. And the ornate frame was not my doing, by the way, in case you notice it.
Vectoring again after the longest time! Once I’m done, I’m going to practice coloring.
This is probably better than playing Pokemon Red, in a time-wasting sort of way.
